Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I want the Bible in a Magazine when I already have a Bible?
Lots of reasons! We believe that the beautiful photos and the convenient size will nuture your desire to read the Scriptures, taking it with you wherever you go or leaving it out on a coffee table (a great conversation starter).
We also believe that people who may feel intimidated or unfamiliar with the Bible may find it easier to pick up a magazine than a big Bible.
It's FUN to get good stuff in the mail!
Plus it makes a GREAT gift!
What version of the Bible is used?
We chose to use the World English Bible (WEB) which is a Public Domain (no copyright) Modern English revision of the 1901 American Standard Version of the Bible.
What type of photos do you use in Contemplate?
The photos we publish are all submitted by readers of Contemplate the Bible Magazine! Some are professional photographers with incredible cameras on exotic trips and some are shot on iPhones in the backyard. We're looking for photos that showcase God's creation, make us say, "Wow!" and make us forget for a moment where we are. The best photos for our magazine are at least 1600 X 1200 pixels. (Most camera phone photos are great unless they are zoomed in).
How do I submit a photo?
You can send photographs for consideration by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send each photo separately. Include your name (as you would like the credit to read) and the location where the photo was shot.
When will I get my Magazine in the Mail?
It depends. If you purchase a single issue, your magazine should arrive in 7 to 11 business days. If you purchase an annual subscription, each issue should arrive within the first 2 weeks of the month it is released. (If your first issue is a back issue, then that magazine will arrive within 7-11 business days).
